OK, it's here. The Leon Cupra 20VT has gone, the Ibiza Cupra diesel is here. First question (of many to come), I removed the Philips BlueVision bulbs from the Leon, and want to put them in the Ibiza, are they the same bulbs H1 and H7 (I think). Removing them from the Leon wasn't a big problem (although many Leon owners do complain), a quick glance at the Ibiza looks like a tight squeeze, but after searching threads I think I know how to approach it. (Would the dealers do it for me ?) The units are already suffering from condensation, again a search of the threads suggests mentioning it to the dealer. Last question today, I also retained the SPS 1 switch from when I had the Leon remapped (Revo), will this switch work with the diesel remap ? (Revo again).

No they are not the same. H1 & H7 in the Leon. H3 and H7 in the Ibiza. Fitting was a piece of cake, I do not have small hands, removing the clips holding the covers on was the most difficult thing, I just used a screwdriver to push the blind one off in front of the battery, the H3 is the high beam and is completely different from the H1. Having my headlights in Blue vision is good enough for now. I CANNOT work out how to get to the sidelights !! The Leon had an awful push fit holder but at least it was accessible. :(

They're reasonably easy to fit in the Ibiza, although I found that an inspection mirror helps with the high-beams because they're recessed so far in that you can't see what you're doing.

I usually do it by removing the skin from my knuckles and the backs of my hands, then dribbling red "paint" randomly around the engine bay. It's best done on a cold day so you can't feel the pain.

Again, an inspection mirror helps (but not much), and a pair of long-nose pliers are essential for grabbing hold of the push-fit bulb holder.

When I said it was easy - I did lose a few drops of blood, trying not to get the screwdriver (for easing off the nearestside clip) too near the body, I protected it with the palm of my other hand - how clever am I ? Answers on the back of a plaster.:censored: Then I searched for Philips BlueVision H3 for the high beam - How much ? :-o £21.45.
Slightly diverting - when should I get my Revo done ? I left it on the Leon 'til it was ran in, but the dealers told me this one doesn't need running in (contrary to the handbook I must say)
