broken wiring sensor please help

hello hope someone can help gave my engine a clean today and as i looked down the front of the engine close to what i think is the secondary air pump dont know as i`ve only had the car three weeks by the way its a 2003 leon cupra there is a wire with what looks like a sensor on the end of it clipped to the pipes that come off the secondary air pump it looks like it fits onto the air con compressor as there is a nut facing upwards on it looks like its broke off there can anyone tell me if i`m right and what is it used for as everything seems to be working including the air con i really do need some help as i dont think it will be covered by warranty as it looks like someone (last owner) may have broke it by accident and cant get a manual for this car so i can check myself hope some of you can help thanks

anyone? does anyone have a 20v turbo engine they could have a quick look at there air con compressor and see ifthere is a sensor coming off the top which you can see when you look down the front of the engine

sorry guys my fault it looks like it comes off the power steering pump not the air con the power steering pump is the one right at the bottom from what i can see

well i sorted it myself its a powersteering pressure switch and it cost 21 quid you do l;oose a bit of fluid if your not careful just in case anyone trys it

HOW DID YOU FIX IT? On mine CupraR the insullation seems to have melted away on one of the wires. But the lead was still attached to the switch. I tried to remove the switch but ended up hunting my finger so in the end I still applyed seem PVC tape around the wires and wrapped the plastic shroud around the rest of the wire.

I would be interested to see how you removed the clip/switch from the Power steering bolt and replace the whole cable?
