Broken down...

What a nightmare I had on Friday afternoon. Was on route to my Nan's just about to turn onto the M6, put the clutch in, and it didnt come back out. Thought it may have somehow got stuck or something, so pulled over, leaned down and pulled at it a bit and it came back up with a little white plastic clip falling down and onto the floor. ****...

The next bit is a massive story, but to cut it short, I have AA cover as part of my bank account, but it wasn't registered with them for some reason. So 2 1/2 hours on the phone - £18.60 credit later, id managed to get them out to me. Had to re-register as a new customer with the AA, pay £165 and was sat on the road side from 13:15 when we broke down, til 17:20 when the AA man arrived. Totally pissed off by this time. Then to top it off, my front drivers side tyre blew out whilst being towed home!!!

Anyway, have any of you had this problem with the clutch pedal?? What will it be that needs replacing?? A common fault?

Any info or help, very much appreciated.

Cheers
Steve

Yeah, I recall about 8 threads where this has cropped up in the last 6 months!
Not to difficult a fix. Get it welded, as a replacement will have the same shitty tack weld and will go again.
