Hi All,
Just fitted the Brodit pro clip and phone mount in my Altea. Now that I've worked out how to post images I thought I should share.
I find the Brodit mounts to be some of the best available. The plastic is really tough and it's a good snug fit with your phone - in my case a Nokia 6680.
I didn't fit any kind of swivel mount or anything. I think it might be a bit too bulky if you do that. Instead I drilled the pro clip using the cradle holes as a template and put through a couple of 3.5mm bolts (B&Q). This was OK but the phone doesn't quite face you. I loosened the bolts and put in three bits of draft excluder foam cut into a wedge (3 different lengths stacked basically), on the top left corner. The foam is pretty dense so when you re-tighten the bolts the cradle shifts angle quite nicely.
Judge for yourselves anyway:
Now I've found the right angle I'll cut the long bolt ends off if I get round to it.
There's no wobble in the phone at all - which is pretty good given the FR suspension.
Jon
