I've just bought a LCR from a garage and im finding the brakes to feel pretty soft, i dont know if its because my last brakes on a seat ibiza were heavily servoed or if the brakes need bleeding. the pads have been changed all round and i dont know how strong the brakes should be. Can any one make a suggestion?

soft brembos

yep, have the same problem,i've just changed all 4 sets and now they feel quite soft, where as before they were very responsive to the slightest touch.
Tried bleeding ,still the same ,feel fine when the engine is'nt running (pump up nice and firm),once engine is started and servo kicks in the brake pedal when depressed gives off a slight hissy airy noise as if there is air in the system.....maybe it needs to stand overnight then rebled i don't know, but i'll try anything............
IS THERE ANYBODY WHO KNOWS WHATS WRONG:think:

bleed them with pressure bleed and decent fluid.
they can be a real pain to do sometimes and soft pedal is not uncommon when theres trapped air somewhere.

also... are the brakes worn? (rears also?)

could have air in the system from the previous owner boiling the fluid
