Break lights not working?

Hello my brake lights are'nt working i need to get to the switch on the brake pedal but large amounts of dash are in the way i tried to remove it but had trouble does anyone know how i remove it? Its the bits under the steering wheel.

(i undid all the hex bolts think there was about four but it was still attached somewhere else near the fusebox
