I would imagine that is the 312mm set up then. A number a people including myself have used CRN discs with much success..these are EBC plain discs which CRN machine grooves into. The best pads I would recommend are ferodo ds2500 pads - badger 5 the forum sponser stocks these. HTH

Not sure tbh; only ever looked at 323mm prices for lcr.. I'd ask bill for a quote in his section (badger5) if I were you:)

In a word, no. My 330mm 2-piece discs alone were over £500..

So more like £2000 then!!

What can i do for that sort of money to make a large enough difference to make it worth while. Just about to do a cambelt change and replace a load of worn suspension bits and 2 tyres so don't have the funds to spend £0000's.

I got front CRN 312 with Mintex pads and there ok.....obviously not as good as the DS2500 but they cost a hell of a lot less.

Adam are the CRN discs a straight swap for standard?

I need new discs pretty soon, changed the pads myself no long ago but i will probably do these at the same time for better ones.

does Badger5 stock discs and pads to fit my car (FR 180)? Are discs as easy to change as pads?

There just grooved standard discs so straight swap.

discs held on by 1 screw and easy to change.

Better pads such as ds2500 are about £100 and perhaps some grooved discs to give you more initial bite. Some high temperature fluid such as rbf660 wouldn't go amiss either :)

And this is the coating like mine

What does the coating do except prevent rust, anything?

I recon i will get they discs and get good pads too. I can change pads no problem, never tried discs though.

I also dont know too much about bleeding the brakes etc.

I might buy them and get my local garage to fit them, they are cheap labour anyways.
