Brakes on a Dab.

I've got an Ibiza Dab and find the brakes really lack bite.
I've also noticed they produce a lot of dust.
Has anyone upgraded the pads or pads and discs to gain an improvement?
I was wondering if a different set of pads would do the trick but would be willing to change the discs as well.
I was thinking grooved discs could make a difference.
I don't want to change the calipers or anything like that as the cars only 8 months old with 4500 miles on it.
It's from high speed I really notice it the car just dosen't want to stop.
I imagine the Dab has the same brakes as the normal 1.4 except it has discs on the back as it has 100 BHP.

The brakes on my car standard were rubbish from high speeds, richierich said something about putting better pads/disks on his 100bhp TDI as a brake upgrade on the front requires new hubs.

Rears - don't bother, messes up the handbrake.

I reckon the brakes for the 1.2 1.4 are sh!t hot TBH. What tyres have you got on the car. Since having my eagle f1's fitted the car stops so much more quickly!

I've got the standard Bridgestones on which I feel are really good.
It's definately a brake problem.

you can get better disks and pads if you look for your Dab... im thinking as i have been wanting a Fr for 4 years i might go have a chat and see what they can do, i should have just done this before but never mind ay! if i do get one then my TT breaks will be one of the first mods as i have them in the garage lol

my breaks are quite rubbish at times specially for the power my Tdi pulls out scared me a few times.. have a look on larkspeed.com or simular and look for the right size i guess?

Buy an FR tdi then mate

If you have the brakes do it!

Not much more expensive than yours to insure.

£80 more to insure! its just buyin it is my troubles! i want climate back as im sick of a/c!! dont look as posh.... then TT breaks here i come!! will need to be a facelifted Fr tho... preff with xenons to, am i asking for to much?
