brakes grinding when cold

ive only had my cupra r a few weeks but ive noticed the brakes make a grinding noise when cold. i searched on here and found one thread but it didnt really help me other than it seems to be fairly standard. a dealer fix was mentioned but the thread was from 2005 so im after some advice with this problem. is it normal or does it mean theres a problem.

they are known to stick on the rears if rear brakes have all the weight on them when parked up at night.
it could also be that the discs have gone rusty and its just the pad scraping it off.

I have the same or similar problem but only when its really cold, i've checked my discs and pads and they are fine so i'm putting it down to disc surface dirt
