There's no F in Quality..
you can either go 256mm (2.0 8v Ibiza size) or 280mm (2.0 16v Ibiza / Golf G60) 
you need new hubs, carriers, callipers, discs, pads and hoses
If you're lucky like me you can pick the lot up for about £100 notes.... however, the Mk2 Golf guys go for this upgrade, so anything on Ebay tends to go for anything upto about £200 !!!

New discs are £25 each from ECP and pads can be picked up cheap on Ebay!! I got a set of Ferrodo race pads for £6 inc p&p !!!
Going to fit 280's onto the 2.0 8v Ibiza at the weekend, and then fit the 256's from the Ibiza onto Em's 1.4, with the help of new hubs etc.

I've got a couple of sets of 256mm callipers sitting at home if anyone wants them. Otherwise they'll be going in the bin.

yup they'd fit yours, you'd just need a new set of 280mm (Mk2 Golf G60) discs to fit with them, about £60 all in from GSF/ECP
2.0 8v brakes can be used, but you need to get a 280mm brake carrier, which will space the calliper out enough to fit over the 280mm discs.

There's no F in Quality..
probably just as much as buying a complete 280mm set-up from either of the guys above to be honest. Mainly because people won't 'split' a 280mm set-up just to sell you just the carriers.
