Brake Pads!

Heya . Changing my brake pads Xmas eve becuase theyr on the limmit now. Bought some yesterday ive got a rough idea on how to remove and replace them but is there a step by step guide on her. Ive searched and cant seem to find any ... also ive heard its pretty hard to get the new pads back on would i need a crowbar or something

With the front calipers the pistons just push back in so they're easy enough but the rear calipers have screw back pistons which can be a pain ass. Ideally you should use a screw back tool from somewhere like Halfords for about £20 (makes life a lot easier), but you can use a large flat head screwdriver or a pair of mole grips if your tight like me lol. Just be careful not to slip and damage the seal if you do it this way though!

Just realised u dont have a cupra? so will be drums at the rear? Either way, fronts are easy to change.

yeh fronts are real easy, undo 2 bolts, slide the caliper off, push the piston back, swap the pads, put it back together, pump the brakes and away you go.

Also clean contact sufaces of corrosion and copper grease contact points of new pads to caliper and caliper carrier.
