Hi,

looking to upgrade my brakes soon. Did a search and popular budget choice seems to be badger 5's brembo discs and ferrodo ds2500 pads and better fluid. Can anyone tell me how much of a difference they make over standard discs and pads?

Another option is to save up from the brembo junior kit....are they worth 900?

Any experiance of both setups welcome and advice

thanks

Will they be a direct fit though? I thought the leons where 5stud?

Are they a decent break setup over standard cupra brakes?

thanks

i opted for the audi tt 312mm brake setup, at first they dont seem much better than standard under normal braking, but stand on em at high speed and the are awsome:p

need to re drill discs to the 4 stud pattern, and grind calliper carriers (aprox 6mm i think:D )

oh and you will need the tt brake lines they are slightly longer, once this is sorted the fittin is easy,

well worth it imo

Cool.... not that bad a swap really then.

Just got a quote for 850quid for the brembo kit.... would looove to have that stopping power! Think i'll have to save up after all the ko3s work is done and take it from there. Probably should have sorted brakes as a first mod but ive gone power crazy![:@]

most of us do that m8, power 1st and sort brakes tomorrow :p

the bembo's do look wicked behind alloys but the sheer size of the tt 1's look good 2, especially if your gonna show off with some drilled/groved discs:D

ive driven a cupra r and to be honest unless your canning it round a track there aint much difference, thats only my opinion tho:D

Really? I heard they have great stopping power. Probably alot more noticable when stopping from high speeds over standard. Plus abot of it is brand snobbery...."oh i have brembos" blah blah blah

would love some in time though

brembo 4pot braking vs 280mm braking is night and day different.

the R you drove must have had knackered brakes to feel no better than stock 280's. I can assure that is not normal.

Normal is warning your passengers of impending seatbelt gripping when you brake hard with brembo's :D

How do your eliptic grooved discs and ferrodo pads compare to standard? Night and day? Or a small difference? Worth getting or saving for brembos?

i meant the difference between brembo's and tt brakes

but that was just my opinion, i'm by no means an expert in this field:)

bill obviously knows more than me so take his advice over mine:D
