Hello all..

Yes i have used the search button and yes i do want to uprgade front and rear, just in case someone goes "well you dont need to upgrade rears..."

I have looked about for some brakes and was wondering what options i have, ive seen the 6 pots but they are only 312mm im looking to go bigger on the front and rear shortly, so does anyone here know off the top of their head what size and where i can get them from??

many thanks

If you want bigger than standard just put the LCR set up on so easy to do and cheap compared to buying an aftermarket set up.

Do you really need stronger brakes than Brembo's from an LCR? Assuming you have a Leon Cupra and it is modded you have still only reached speeds of an LCR maybe a bit faster. From experience and from what I have read the brembos are more than adequate for an LCR and should be for an LC.

But you know if thats what you want go for it...interested to see the results :)

Brembo junior kit/LCR setup on the front, on the back thicker vented discs - no need to increase the diameter.

and you'd need bigger (better clearence) wheels too

What's your budget? There are a shed load of options around, but if they are all too expensive there is little point in recommending them. AP Racing do some lovely upgrades that, with the right brackets, would fit your Cupra. Not cheap for 6 pots though.

Worse case scenario is you get some custom fabricated for you. Or, you approach somebody like AP Racing and ask if they have a solution. I can't believe you're the first person wanting to do this to a Cupra, so a solution must be out there somewhere :)

I'd be very careful with Porsche brakes as there are various problems with getting correct parts and so forth. I am not to certain of the terminology however the porsche brakes come in two parts and one of them you cannot get easily.....

Please speak to Slick and Dozer about the problem as Slick explained this problem to me in detail when i saw him last.

at guess I bet somone in the VAG tuning community that does them, failing that its custom made

scouting some other options

AP 6pots and 330mm discs £1,689.83(inc VAT)
Brembo GT 4pots 328mm £2,032.75(inc VAT)
LCR brembo 4pots 323 £945 (+VAT)

And budget for different wheels

When you look at those prices, it makes the LCR Brembos seem very well priced! You could add in two-piece rotors and DS2500 pads to the price and still be cheaper than the others.
