Brake light switch location

That's bizzare, it must be connected to the brake pedal somewhere. Is your brake booster on the right or left in the engine bay? If it's on the left the switch could be up under the glove box, I've seen that on puggies but they are french. I'll try google.:)

For those that are interested I have found out that the brake light switch on a mk2 Leon is under the master cylinder in the engine bay.

So I'm not blind after all.........................

I have a funny click/stiff feeling in the pedal that feels like a stiff brake light switch. I have sprayed around the pedal area with WD40 but it still feels the same. The problem I can feel is in the sloppy pit before the pedal even sarts to make the brakes work, around about the same sort of pressure that is needed to make the brake lights come on.

The car is under warranty but I'm sure they will just prod the pedal a few times and say it's all good.
