Brake Discs

[MR Ibiza Cupra]

Can anybody tell me what size the standard Ibiza Cupra discs are. And what size the discs are on the Cupra R aswell, i tried a search and i didnt come up with much.

And how can i put up a pic of my car like everyone else.....

280mm on the standard Cupra, 305mm on the Cupra R.

so correct me if im wrong; can you use the standard 280mm discs with the Brembos or will they be too small ?

I wouldnt and I'm not sure why you'd want to either....

Just out of curiousity, i dont intend to do that. Some cars come standard with 285mm dics and brembo 4 pots. If i wanted to keep my standard cupra wheels for now im sure the 15mm difference in disc space will allow me to fit the calipers underneath the standard wheel !!!!

Im just trying to learn as much as i can about my car, sorry guys.

No worries mate, it's the clearance of the caliper itself thats the problem...not of the disc bud

Let's start again!!

Std Mk3 Ibiza Cupra's came with 280mm discs, and single pot callipers
Mk3 Ibiza Cupra R's came with 305mm discs, and Brembo 4-pot callipers.

Which car are you referring to that came with 285mm discs and Brembo's ?!? None that I'm away of !!!

You wouldn't be able to use Cupra R Brembo 4-pots on 280mm discs under a std 16" Ibiza wheel, as the mounting bracket wouldn't allow it!

You could possibly get new brakcets made up to allow the Brembo's to fit 280's, but you're talking £££££ Would be cheaper to by new wheels !!!!
