Gareth why dont you include the vital info you didnt bother to put in the first place like:

Model
Engine size
Price you want to pay
Application you want them for, road, track etc
Where you want them from - ebay, local parts factor etc
What make you want - EBC, mintex etc
Etc etc

Cheers

THanks for pointing that out MJ. Now it makes sense why my mother always said more haste, less speed.

Leon MK1 1.9 TDI 130 2004
£150
Everyday use
Don't mind where they are from
As good a make as I can get for around £150

Hope this helps you guys to help me...............

You could try ebay, you'll be able to pick some up for less than £150 but you'd have to make sure you have the right size discs because some had 280mm discs and others had 288mm

Are you capable of removing one of the wheels? if so remove either of the front wheels and measure the disc diameter with a tape measure. Or call your local seat dealer with your chassis number and they should be able to tell you.

Just out of interest can you fit 288mm to 280?

I'm after some better front breaks for leon pd150, i also keep hearing about using the carrier from an Audi tt and pads... anyine knwoing anything on this?

In terms of decent discs for the original poster i was looking at these from euro car parts:

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Seat_Leon_1.9_2004/p/Car-Parts/Brakes/Brake-Friction/Performance-Brake-Discs

Pads these:

If you are just after stanadard ones they seem pretty cheap.

Seat !!!!!!

OK, spoke to seat and gave them the VIN number and they told me there are 2 different sized discs used on my car!!!

On the calipers there is either FS3 or FN3 stamped on the caliper.

FS3 means the disc is a 280mm with a minimum thickness of 22mm

FN3 means the disc is a 288mm with a minimum thickness of 25mm

Now, does any one know where they stamp these codes on the caliper ?

Hi, I have same year and model, I got my replacements from my local motorist centre front and rears for £100. Fronts are unusual size, first lot he supplied were wrong, it turned out they are same as Audi A6 ones..

The leon cupra already has 288mm discs and no they can not be interchanged. To do the conversion you to the bigger 312mm brakes you need new carriers (from say - a TT, tole V5, early cupra 20vt) and a pair of 312mm discs (of your choice from the same models) and this can be done for around £200.

The numbers are stamped on the side of the caliper as you look through the wheel and it will say:

FS III NOT FS3 in numerals not a number.
