Brake Conversion

Can anybody help with a definative step by step guide on how to upgrade my brakes?

I have a MK4 Ibiza TDI fr and have got a hold of Audi TT callipers (now painted ***** red) and 312mm cross grooved and drilled discs and sports pads.

How long should I leave to fit them and how hard is it?

I have heard about clamping the hoses so I dont need to bleed them but what should I use to do this?

Depends on how mechanical you are really. Even with clamping the lines you will need to bleed the fronts.

Apparently so. Got round to doing mine yesterday and didnt have an 18mm socket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Need to buy one then get on with it.

18mm socket and breaker bar i neede on mine snapped one of my ratchets trying to undo it. and yes that simple all bolt on bolt off stuff and little bleed of the brakes to finish with.

You need the carriers too

tools :- check
disc :- e-bay brand new
pads :- e-bay brand new
calipers and carriers hmmmm need to search a bit more .


and thats it ??
no thrunge gasket or spigot ring flange spacer bar ???
