Brake upgrade would be a good idea if you gonna be running those power figures. General story is that the cupra and boc running on standard brakes are ok but they could be better and those with the brake upgrades are very hapy. Only problem is you wont fit the standard wheels with the brake upgrade. Unless you can source a set of cupra or boc wheels...............................

yeah i understand that but i was more thinking of just grooved discs with other brake pads i think that already do a good job of stopping. the guy at the dealer told me that the car basicly was the same as the last vw polo gti so maybe there some parts of that car that also fits.

I upgraded the brakes on my Boc cos they were insufficient, but now the brake callipers just clear the alloys by a couple of mm's. If you're running that power then upgrade the brakes, but you will need new wheels.

by the way does that brake upgrade can be ordered just at you're seat dealer or not?
I am a car mechanic so fitting is not a problem.

You can get them from the dealer or you can get the Mk1 TT 312mm brakes, just need new carriers I think, I don't know too much about it really.

Do keep me posted because I just upgraded my FR to 210 Hp and I need brakes
I was told on this forum that 312 mm discs are the best option and all will fit the FR standard wheels

yeah i saw you're thread about it, but maybe i'm searching wrong but i can't get much info about it but i was thinking that with some spacers the ibiza racing brakes also fits with fr wheels. And i'm looking if there are more cars from vw and so if they have the same parts so that upgraded brakes for that cars fit

alright i saw posts of you techie you seem to know you're stuff around seat but from what i understand you need the holder of the caliper and a disc from the mkI TT are there more cars with that part or just that one thats easy for me to search then. en then maybe put a grooved disc instead of the origineel
ps over here they call it 8n or 8j the audi tt wich one is the mkI?

got another question for you guy's you can do the conversion with the audi carriers but can you also fit a 4 pot upgrade from the audi model cause you then get the adapters with it or can you just don't fit the 4 pots brakes with the fr wheels cause if not i think im gonna ring my dealer and check if i can make a deal with him voor rims with the brake upgrade. just liking the 4 pot brakes
