bottom arm/brake problem

my auntie's says when she brakes in wet weather, the car feels like it doesn't want to stop as good as it should. I've checked her brakes, but they're fine. I did notice that there is alot of play in both the front wish bones. could this affect the braking at all? cheers

wow it doesnt brake as good in the wet as it does in the dry lol.. crap tyres?.. like the mk2 golf u tend to get play in the top mounts standard.. you have to gauge this agaisnt completly nakerd ones.. its all feesable that the bushes or the ball joint on the lower arms have gone so these should be checked... prefferably by someone who knows what they are looking for.

yeah the ball joints on the lower arm have gone, but would this affect the braking

wouldnt expect it to, but they need changing anyway so just see what happens when they are done.
