Both Rear window buttons not working

I have a strange problem, When I try to use the driver side and passenger side rear window buttons on the relevant door cards they do not work. However when I operate both windows from the front driver side buttons panel, both rear windows work. I have made sure that the window lock button is set to off from the drivers front button configuration.

Please can someone assist, as this is a new one for me.

Sorry it was just driver side rear button that was not working, has anyone got a guide on how to replace the button, does the door card need to be taken out? or can the plastic surround be dismantled instead?
