Something weird has just happened with my Leon, and I hope it's not connected with my headunit that I installed today?

Used my Toad alarm fob as normal to unlock the car, opened the boot (put something in) and doors no problem. Drove off.

Now home, turn the ignition off and notice interior lights didnt come on when I pulled the key out of the ignition. Checked the switch, thought I may have knocked it - set correctly.

Took stuff out of boot and locked car with Toad key fob. 3 or 4 chirps, which usually indicates a problem (open door etc). Deactivated alarm, and reapplied, normal chirps. Got distracted, opened the boot - the boot wasn't locked :wtf: and the alarm sounds.

Deactivated alarm, reapplied, boot not locking - other doors locking OK. Tried manually locking, unlocking boot with the key. no problem, but the Toad key fob won't lock it.

Tried the remote on the SEAT key - doesn't work AT ALL, won't lock the car :(
Tried turning the key in the lock to lock doors. Doors lock, boot still unlocked :(

Had a quick search on SCN, I hope this isn't the Central Convenience Module(?) that gone?

Any thoughts. I installed my Pioneer P70BT headunit earlier, used the Autoleads adaptors and routed the bluetooth MIC cable down the A Pillar, removing the cover off the Fuse Box. Is this connected in any way?

Your thoughts please.

Goot :)

Cant see it being the HU. IIRC you got the same kit as me using the same HU and it all works fine for me, albeit with the standard SEAT central locking/alarm

I'd check the fuses as the others suggest first.

Fuse 38 is my first guess, as above. 10A usually, although some are 15A.

I would also make sure that since installing an aftermarket headunit that nothing was/is going to pin 3 on the ISO connector - this will b*gger up and vag-com tools that are plugged in. See www.icecavern.com or the ross tech website for more info on that.

IIRC, also check fuse 5 or 6 (mini blade fuse) - manual will say which one, but I think one of them has something to do with the c/l and interior lights too.

I think I checked this when I installed my P70BT w/ Autoleads adapter and there is nothing on the VAGCOM pin. Might be worth a check if all else fails, but Im 99% sure that mine doesnt have anything on that pin. :)

OK, what went wrong (and it was just after I had my MOT done as well, as noticed the fuses weren't all fitting flush). Anyway replaced the following fuses:

Central Locking, Boot, Interior light working after: 14, 38
Noticed one dipped beam and one main beam not working: 18, 21
Then a main beam bulb blew.

But all now working :)

thats a lot of fuses!
I would keep an eye on that main beam not working - if it blew a bulb might be something else wrong..
