Boost Variation Problem

I had a P-Torque stage 1 remap at weekend, day 1 fine no probs at all, day 2, i start the car and for about 10 mins or so it just seems as though the car hasn't been mapped as it only boosts to about 9psi which is what it went to prior to the map. After that it seems to work fine and can boost to 19psi however at times it can revert back to just 9 again. (only now again)

I have had the car on Vag.Com and also had the car checked pre & post mapping and the only thing coming up on all is that the water temperature sensor is nakered. This has been for a while though i think as the guage hasn't worked and never had problems with that prior to the map.

I have had a conversation with Will at P-Torque who has been very helpful and by no means am i blaiming him, he has offered to have a look but he thinks its worth having a look at the N75 first. I know these can be tempremental and mine is now 8 years old. Could this be the problem and the sudden map and boost increase has caused it to bodge up.

Not sure what effects the temp sensor would have if any??? and i dont think its any pipes or leaks as it boosts to the old setting or the new one, if it was a leak i think it could be more erratic on the boost figures it is getting, if it were getting boost at all.

some info in case it helps, i have a forge 007dv, no n249 bypass, and the plugs were changed on the day to denso IK22's. There is no problems with Idling either.

I am tending to agree with Will unless there are any other ideas. Any help is greatly appreciated.

BTW after mapping, are most people just sticking with the standard N75 valve and on there any stickies on here of how to do this yourself as most people say 5 min job :)

loads of things could be at fault here. im suprised they actually mentioned ytour n75 as they completely missed that when myki went there and they couldnt find his fault. i spotted this and i am no way an expert. you will have to keep the n75 on the car but you can upgrade it. it sounds to me like your car is going back into limp mode which mine has done in the past.

yeah but why go into limp mode, as i say there is nothing that should be making it go into limp mode according to vag.com. Plus i thought limp mode was about 5psi ish rather than 9. I had no probs with it prior to the map and limp mode cutting it. Surely then its something that may not always show on a diagnostics....hence n75.

when you say upgrade, what to, have looked at this using search but it seems as though the majority say standard is better???

there are a few different n75 valves to choose from. there are a few on the bay now.

and i went into limp mode the other day and was boosting to 9-10psi so limp mode is not just 5psi.

ive found this thread via search, sounds similar situation to mine

it seems as though the N75J isn't the way to go but just go for standard again ie the F version. Is it true about the car adapting itself to new changes and it could just could get better after time. Might try just disconnecting the battery latter aswell.

been worse on the way home from work. felt the benefit of the remap for about 5 mins on a 45 min journey

starting to regret the map, great whilst its there but thats the thing ....WHEN.

Hard to say with nothing showing after Vag.com. Anyone any ideas at all before i throw money into the N75. Btw is there a guide for a DIY changing of this on here, i cant find one but thought more established members may now
