Hello

I need to know if anyone here have fitted a bleed valve to their car with the n75 valve in place still.

Reason im asking is my car is spiking too often and making the car go into limp mode, so speaking with Simon Coe from CCCtech ( not an upsolute chip in the car ) but he has been very helpful to me, and has suggested I try and fit a bleed valve to see if i can reduce the boost pressure by a few PSi, and an easy way to do this would be to fit a bleed valve, when i do this I will get fueling checked etc, have a guy who is going to go a run with me with det cans and a probe in the exhaust to make sure my fuelling is ok.

So anyone that can help would be great.

Thanks

Marc

Marc I have one in my car, technically its known as an "Over Boost Solutions Manual Boost Controller"

In my book its known as a bleed valve - its a brass fitting which you screw in or out to adjust boost level.

Works fine on my car, never goes into limp with n75c, occasionally goes into limp with n75j but thats only because the boost is turned up a few psi. Checked with Star Performance and Jim said it was fine, as the limp mode is simply to stop the boost getting to dangerous levels and will kick in at 1.2bar with my APR map. I'm sure it would be the same for your car?

Rob :)

It's really not mate. It's been on my car for the best part of a year and a half or 15k, and no problems. Proven to run on other cars and haven't heard anything other than scare mongering against putting them on the Ibiza. I've had no fault codes and no problems with it thus far, and the fault Jim Curley @ Star gave it his seal of approval is good enough for me :)

when was the last time you hooked the car up to a wideband lambda probe to monitor fuelling?

Airleak = **** fuelling.

Simply alter the wastegate setting, screw the nuts anticlockwise towards the end of the wastegate rod it will spike less boost wise the further out you move the nuts and arm.

My old superchip spiked at 21-22psi and would on the odd full throttle run go into limp 3-4 complete turns out and it spiked at 17psi and never hit limp again.
