What does your Cupra make in 4th gear at...

5k - 13psi (0.9bar)
5.5k - 11psi (0.77bar)
6k - 10psi (0.65bar)

(Only Ibiza Cupra's with the K03 turbo please)

If possible post VAGCOM logs showing actual VS requested, thanks!

Ok iv just noticed it dosnt give RPM but you get the idea,
Other mods were 3" DP sports cat and 2.5@ cat back also the forge FMIC and dynotwist.

I'm just trying to figure out if i'm trying to fix something that isnt broken.

If most other K03 remapped ibiza's see around 10psi at 6k, i dont think my car has a boost problem.

I think perhaps the map is just asking for more than the turbo can give, making me think there is a leak. Saw similar from a recent post by GaryT.

However, i do still occasionally get a "Negative boost deviation error", which i managed to catch whilst logging, and it wasnt a slow drop in boost, it was sudden, almost like a hose collapsed... and its normally when i've been driving hard for a while, which would have heated up the hoses making them soft.

So is it possible, my error is caused by a boost pipe collapsing, little or now boost making it through to the inlet?

It's the MAP sensor that measure actual boost isnt it? Is this before or after the IC? Just trying to figure out which hose might be collapsing.

TIP? try a forge one, mine doesnt drop to 10psi at 6k, its still over 12ish

Yup seen your pdf Mork, thanks.

flash - could be the TIP, but it could be one of the hoses between the turbo outlet and TB.

could it not be your ECU pulling it back? or is that not possible? just as you say only once warmed up

Hey Simon, ive sinced changed all my vac hoses and im still getting the negative boost fault, However my cars not limping now untill i hit 6k in 4th. Strange how the silicone hoses have increased the rpm on the limp.

Im also now considering what else there could be except the obvious leaks in the IC path. Do you have Silicone hoses on your IC and TB? Feelinf my standard hoses they could be prone to collapsing. Also we may have a hole in the standard IC and finding a compression test for this would be good.

No i dont have silicone hoses between the turbo and inlet manifold. I agree they do get soft easily and could collapse.

I think it is heat related also. I dont think its a boost leak, as the error would happen all the time if it was. Its only when driving hard, for long periods of time... so maybe it is hoses collapsing.
