boost guage ???

having contacted both jabba and allard and asked about installing a boost guage on my 1.9tdi 130pd they both said its risky, expensive on a diesel and not worth it

what are your thoughts and if you have one installed was it expensive/worth it

Mine wasn't expensive, i'm not sure about the risk element ..... i wanted to see what the turbo was doing when i was driving around, i actually use it as an economy indicator - keep off boost or on low boost means better mpg ( on the rare occasions i drive like that ) so to be fair it was probably 50% looks and 50% something else

did you install it yourself ? what parts did you use mate?

I used;

1. mechanical boost gauge ( make sure you get 30psi not a 20psi one)
2. Double A pillar pod ( i've got an oil temp gauge too)
3. Some silicon vacuum pipe and Boost gauge fitting kit
