Boost gauge fitted, what psi should i be running?

Ey up, so ive fitted my boost gauge now to see what sort of psi im getting with APR, also Cat back system and induction if that makes any difference?:confused:

Seems to be around 15psi till about 5k then looses a bit???? That sound about right or a bit low?:blink:

It definatly feels well but now ive got a gauge telling me i wanna know what others have with similar spec...

Thanks mate, kind of puts my mind at rest, any others? cos ive been searching a fair bit and loads of people say they are getting 18-20????????

thats the slightly different k03s turbo on the leon cupra.

its all revo hit 20/21psi
only for a couple seconds mind then in drops back to 14/15psi after 4500-5000rpm

so whats the next mod coming up?

DP an Cat? fmic?

most maps run an overboost initially to overcome the inertia of the turbo then once its spinning drop to a lower level

im on APR same as you matey, dont know what your running but mine hits 20 spike then it sits @ 17 until about 5500rpm, thats on a stage 2

hmm, mine doesnt seem to peak and drop it just builds up to about 15-16psi.

Next mods are fit the Samco TIP, dp+cat then if i win the lottery a FMIC lol

David Smith, if yours sits at 17psi on stage 2 it dont seem too bad, does the boost increase though when moving on to stage 2 from Stage 1?

on a k03s im spiking 23/24 psi, holding then dropping to 17psi past 5k.

Jabba custom map. although i am having problems as always!

Would things like the DP and Cat , TIP actually make the boost any higher or will they just help it stay stronger-longer?

Can any of the above please state where they located their boost pipe to, servo/top of DV etc.....

Has anybody changed theirs and if so did it affect the boost?


This is it fitted, i know its poor but its until i can justify the cash for a Nomad one! Think it matches well with the dials?

Thats a lot of boost for a K03sport, are your figures taken from a boost gauge or a vagcom log?

Couldnt tell you matey, when i bought the car the lad i bought it off already had it on stage 2, dont know what stage 1 feels like:shrug:

T-pieced off the FPR, then moved to one of the vac hoses under the left side of the manifold. No difference.

Spikes at 23psi then dropping to about 12psi at 6k.
