hi there.
right , got myself an amd remap yesterday in my mk1 fr. Love it plenty of power and nice and drivable . Only thing is i wouldnt mind dropping the boost occasionaly back closer to standard boosting levels . Are these extremely dangerous to the engine ? if not what is good to go for , any ideas would be great cheeers , Also if these are out of the question anything else that woud be ok to use cheers

The best boost controller is your right foot, DONT fit a boost controller you will give yourself no end of problems.

I believe REVO do a switch which allows you to revert back to a standard map when required and then change back again when you want a bit more power, have a look at there website, what map did you go for?

I think its just im not use to the power at the moment lol, Abit of a whimp at the mo i know lol but i have just come from a 1.8 focus . Can they play around with it and give me abit less than i got yesterday then ramp it up again once im use to that ? cheers Dont get me wrong though i love it !

They might be able to tweek it a bit, but it might cost you for them to keep adjusting it.
Get a boost guage fitted then you'll be able to see what PSI your pulling.

Just take it easy for a couple of week's you'll soon get used to it

i do mate yes . havent had it rr yet . The guys at the surrey branch dont have a rr there . The guy who did it sad he had alot of experience with these cars . He said with a few little things done to it decent aifilter. and a new air flow sensor . I should be achieving about 225 - 230 bhp and 255 ft pounds of torque . But as it stands he recons its about 215 and 240-245 ft pounds

Was it Simon you saw ???
If you can try and get it down to Essex for a RR session,
Airfilter wise try modding your OE air box with a high flow panel filter.

Dont worry you'll get used to the boost

Takes a while to get used to the car after mapping.. try not to treat the accelarator as an on/off switch, feed the power in gently and smoothly. Ive not driven a car with an amd map but you proberly have a bit more power than the tyres can handle in the first couple of gears.
Youll get used to it, what tyres are you running? are they in good condition?

Yes mate it's fine in 1st and 2nd, if you nail it really hard then it will wheel spin but you learn to controll your right foot.
My mid range torgue is very good and thats where it's at it's best ;)
