Boomy Noise From Cupra Backbox

I've noticed over the last few months that there is boomy noise from my Cupra's backbox. It's mostly when reducing speed from 2,000 rpm to 1,000 rpm which gets quite annoying when I have no music on

The car is book in for it yearly service at the weekend, so I also asked them to look into this problem.

Has no-one else encountered the same problem? It must not be as common a problem than I thought.

I will find out tomorrow when its in for it service.

I had a new complete exaust at the 10K service as I thought the exhaust was starting to blow, but Seat said the baffles had "gone".

Maybe the same?

Sounded better IMHO

They checked it on Saturday whilst it was in for its service and said that it was slightly boomy although nothing to worry about. Although the service receptionist said that he would check up with the service manager today and give me a ring.

Well my other half has just taken a call from Arnold Clark and they commented that all Cupra's make that boomy exhaust noise. Funny it didn't make a noise a few months ago & when I bought it last December.

I will just live with it until I purchase a Milltek Cat-Back after the New Year....

My TDI FR has a similar thing going on at those rev's, but only when its been run & got hot
