Bonnet Stone Chip Removal

Guys (and girls!),

I've got 4-5 nasty stone chips in the paintwork on the bonnet and 1 or 2 on top of the wings. I accept this sort of thing as having a car as its going to happen sometimes!

I'm worried about 2 of them as I'm pretty certain you can see the metal work underneath (maybe a boulder hit the car? :) ) Is there a simple fix to have them removed, as long as it looks reasonable it doesn't matter so much.

A friend said get some black nail polish and dab a tiny bit there if you don't want it to rust but ultimately the best idea is to respray.

I was contemplating getting one of these touch up kits from halfrauds although a little weary with all of there products lol.

I just want to basically fill it in so it doesn't rust, blob a tiny bit of the correct colour car paint to cover it up, obs it will be noticeable if you go right up to it but as long as its not too bad I'm not bothered.

Any suggestions, sorry about the essay! lol

Stu!

Stu,

I tend to use the halfrauds touch ups - they are never the best colour match, but from a distance chips can't be seen, and up close looks better than raw metal :) good luck
