Bonnet not flush on Altea 2005 55 reg, please help!

Hi, I'm looking to buy a Seat Altea, i have found one i like, but having looked at it i am concerned as the bonnet doesn't seem to be flush with the front of the car. It is an ex-leasing car and have contacted them and they tell me they have no record of it being in any kind of accident (but they advised, this doesn't mean the company that leased it didn't get it fixed and it wasn't registered anywhere. I have hpi it and it's fine.

The seller advised me he had noticed it (why he didn't get it looked at before i don't know) and took it too his body shop (that he uses) and they advised it was normal for it to be like that. But i am unsure if this is just a ploy to get me to buy it!!

I went to a garage that had some 07/08 reg for sale and they were not 100 percent flush. But much more flush that the car i want to buy. It is a 2005 55 plate, i cannot find another one for sale in my area to even go and run my hand over the bonnettto see if 2005 examples were slightly raised.

Please help, i love this car and want it. But don't want to find i have problems later on.

Thanks for reading my thread. Jackie

We have a Jan 2006 Altea ref sport 55 reg and the bonnet isn't completely flush either. Did ask the dealer to check it over and they made adjustments but still not completely flush. Hasn't caused any problems in the three years we have had it, no rattles or anything like that.
Have read comments on other forums re the same problem.

I'd say not to worry. Mine is three months old and the linement is crap. It's just normal on these matadors.
