Body Shops in York

Hi all,

Firstly thanks to everyone who's posted advice or written the guides for fitting LCR or MY03 bumpers.

I'm going to do this to my 2001 Cupra to bring the look up to date (LCR front bumper, Facelift/MY03 rear bumper).

Only question I have is this.

If I don't want to use the stealers (Wills & Ellis, York) and pay their high labour prices, where can I get this done in York/York area?? I'm a bit worried that even after buying all the parts mentioned in the guide some of them won't fit perfectly as my Cupra is a bit older (2001 - Y reg). I reckon if I find a good body shop they will be able to fit the bumpers/skirts regardless.

Can anyone help? Sorry if a lot of this is repeated on other posts, it's just the local info I'm after.

You know Stamford Bridge? Ever heard of Simpsons Salvage at the Full Sutton industrial estate? If so go towards the ind' est' and when you enter it immediately turn right, drive along (not very far) until you see a bodyshop on your left. They are very very good, I have had written off cars repaired there. They have chassis repairing equipment etc along with a painting booth. Their bodywork and paint is second to none. Ask for Dicky he owns it.

Check out Google Maps to see where it is. Only 10 miles East of York.

Yeah I know the Ind Estate you mean.

I'll check 'em out and let you know how it goes. Might not be for a month or two, gotta get the parts ordered and replace my alloys first!
