Hi everybody!

Just tried to fit my bmc cda sp-12 and from what I could see, it would fit!

It's a bit of a struggle and you have to buy another cold airfeed, becasue the one supplied it not that much felxibel!

bought this tube from green filter in germany:

Now I just have to get sorted out how to get the cold airfeed set up!

How the f... can I remove the plastic plate that the original airfeed goes over? It's right behind the right headlight. It's not a problem to remove the plastic peice right next to it(left side, unscrew two screws).

But what about the right one?

I couldn't figure an easy way of getting it off without spending half a day stripping out bits of the bumper and engine bay to get to the screws, so I just ripped it off. I have the longer of the two CDA's for the 80mm MAF (260mm?), and the cold air feed was a bitch to get on... Getting it down the side of the battery & down the gap behind the headlight into where my SMIC used to be was bit of a pain, the hardest bit was connecting the other end to the BMC box... there's next to no 'give' in the pipe and next to no room... I think it's a bit too tight a fit really, putting a little strain on the pipework & joints the other side of the MAF, but it's the only way I could get it to fit :( Really should have got the shorter one (200mm?) I think that would have fitted a lot better & easier... In fact, I have been considering replacing it with the shorter one as I'm not happy with the way it is at present.

Dont buy a 200mm. Just disassemble the filter and cut down the carbon and assemble again. Far cheaper ;o)

I feared I have to break something ( I'm trying to keep is as stock as possible!

I have tought of making a modified plastic tube with a 80 mm inlet. But i might get restricted anyway with the feed from behind the right headlight!
