Right peeps, when i got my mk3 cupra it had standard air box with a bmc pannel filter. I thaught it was quite decent for a pannel filter so i went for the BMC CAI and it doesnt feel as nippy with the BMC CAI  , had it on for ages now and been doing loads of searches (so dont throw the search button at me) and cam across a thread where someone has the pip come from the air box going back up towards the windscreen in stead of down near the front bumper!

Has anyone else done this and noticed a difference at all? If you have let me know and if now and you have owned the BMC CAI and gone for something else let me know what you've got now and the differennce oticed.

Cheers, Kev

no offence but what on earth were you expecting? its an air filter

many people have said they prefer stock airbox with an aftermarket panel filter compared to cans/cone filters etc. noise is usually the only thing that really gains

for close to £200 ........................................ A DIFFERENCE :banghead2 , i knew i wasnt going to get massive gains if any but it seems to be holding back more with the CAI.

I thought they mine was crap. Logged lower flow than any of my other cai's. Found it better with the cold air feed disconnected and left close to the entry of the BMC.

Best so far has been the cheapest for me, 45 quid open cone filter.
