My phone book seems to have updated with some new contacts that I have added all ok. However there are some contacts that I have deleted and they are still showing on the dash even though they are deffo not on my sim card or my phone memory.

Anyone know how you delete stuff from the cars display or delete the lot and start again?

The delete phone book function seems to be to do with voice tags only

The book seems a bit vauge TBH.

Some way of doing a hard reset? Would mean pairing again and then for it to update itself with new contacts.

Im guessing we are all being a bit vague too! What system/hardware is it?

OK sorted.

I popped a blank sim card into my phone and switched ignition off on to do a sync. This then gave me a blank phone book on the MFD.

I then popped the original sim back in and re synced, the MFD came up with the original phone book (the one with stuff on it that should have been deleted). At first I thought it hadn't worked but then after about 2 mins I checked it again and the old deleted ifo was gone.

Looks like I gave it a kickup the backside and it worked

So the answer is to sync a blank sim and then re sync the good one, this will make any changes update.
