Hi,

Firstly apologies if these questions have been asked before, I have trawled the relevent threads but couldn't find definitive answers.

My first question is regarding phones which dont have phonebook compatibility. I own and use a Nokia N70 but from the SEAT website I see that phonebook facility is not supported. I also own an old Sony T68i which is fully supported. I was wondering if its possible to use my T68i to send my contacts and then pair the system with the N70 to actually use the contacts to make calls etc? Assuming that this would work, would I just loose the missed call pages etc? So to all intents and purposes the system would then operate as if it were fully compatible?

My other question is regarding the Ipod connect. I think I am right in thinking that neither track names either from the ID3 tag or the filename are NOT displayed? However, I understand that if you press 6 on the HU you can browse the playlists on the Ipod, is this correct? And if so can you actually browse the various playlists by their name via the HU? Or is it just via numbers or some other awkward method?

Any advice would be great,

Many thanks,

Steve

Steve, I don't think your little work around for the phone will work, But I would love to be proved wrong.

Not sure about the Ipod query.

Only 1 phone can be paired at a time - the phonebook is uploaded each time the phone is connected, so that if you connect a different phone then that one will be uploaded (if the phone is supported for that).

The iPod connection I have lets you select 5 playlists (buttons 1 - 5 on the head unit) and by selecting 6 you can then select whether to access the iPod interface. Nothing is transferred to the head unit so you can select albums or other playlists on the iPod screen which will then play through the head unit.
