Just orederd a Sony Ericsson V600i, does anyone know if this will be compatible with my factory fitted Bluetooth?

According to the Seat website its not listed but I don't know how up to date the list on the web is.

i would imagine that regardless of what the website says the handsfree calling will work - well it does with my Nokia 6680 which isnt listed on the website either.

The main question will be over whether the cars system will be able to read contact information from your phone. it cant with mine but there is a good chance that it might work with yours.

from looking at the list of phones and compatibility i noticed that almost all (if not all) of the Sony Errisson phones are fully compatible. No other manufacturer has that level - so i would hesitate a guess that the bluetooth system in the car is made by SonyEricisson - but if anyone can correct my deduction i would be interested to hear about it :)

to allow your phone to transfer contact information you have to have a software update. i sure its called sim access profile i had my nokia done at the local nokia shop. as for bluetooth compatability there are two versions 1.1 and 2 i think 1.1 being the older version is what bmw have fiited as standard

I don't think any phones ring through the speakers! I have a Nokia 6310i which links up fully with the phone book etc. When it rings the radio cuts out, but only the phone rings, and displays phone on the radio display.

It would be interesting though to try and build up a full list of phones that are compatible whether they are on the Seat list or not.

e.g. I really like the look of the Samsung P300, does anyone use one with the factory fitted BT??

Some phones do ring through the speakers - my new SE K750i doesn't, but my work Palm Treo and an older Nokia 6310i both ring through the speakers as well as displaying the incoming call.

Must depend on the firmware on the phone - which would explain why the 6310i I have rings through yet others don't.

Yes I think its a combination of phone and firmware as I have a SE K750i and it rings through the speakers.
