Blueflame full turbo back system fitted!

Hey folks!

Definately a transformation week for the car last week! I had my Blueflame turbo back exhaust fitted.

It has made a MASSIVE performance difference, even though I had a cat back Scorpion beforehand, the OE downpipe must have been a huge restriction as the car drives so much nicer and freely throughout the rev range.

Unfortunately, there were a few down sides...

1) Being quoted £40 to fit it, then the mechanic tells me it's £70.
Dissapointing as it's a local mechanic i've used a lot, but he might have just priced himself out of future jobs for me doing that. In the grand scheme it's not a huge amount of money to pay for a full exhaust fitting but still seems a bit much.

2) The rattling on idle, and also when moving off and braking you can hear the exhaust 'move' seems to be under the gearstick/handbrake area.

I've done a search and it seems that the heatshield is the cause of the rattling, and the movement issue is the fitment.

I can get that looked at at a later date I guess.

In the meantime... The sound of it is fantastic! When you put your foot down!

As for quiet... I'd say it's actually the same loudness as my scorpion cat back maybe a little quieter, im hoping it does quieten down a bit after the baffles have been a bit coked up. Not on boost, as that sounds amazing, but would be nice to have it slightly quieter on idle and low speeds.

Other than that very pleased with it, recommended to those who would prefer an oval tailpipe to the Miltek twin pipe.

You won't be dissapointed with Blueflame OR Miltek though :)

Glad to went for BlueFlame mate. Love mine aswell. Mine was so loud when it was first fitted but it does get quieter after a while. Did you mail order yours for BF? I bit the bullet and drove up to the factory and had them fit it. Was a mission of a drive but worth it as if anyone can fit them properly, they can. You can feel the car breathing alot better with the new downpipe! Do you go for a decat or sports cat?

Mail order mate, would have considered going to their factory if I was planning on going back up Liverpool for a while.

I went for sports cat :) Your right, they are one of a few who could fit it properly.

I even gave the mechanic a powerflex mount to use and he said it was the wrong one... (Funny how everyone on here uses that same one... but anyhow!)

He would have had to modify the brackets which I doubt the mechanic would do...

If I ever have the money I will be doing the same as you.
