Bluefin Question.

My question being as the up load info i on the gun they send you. Can it only be used on one car. once you have the unit if you had a mate lets say with the same car could you both use the handset and have the same increase??

Any body get the jist of what i'm trying to say...lol

And have any answers?

When you upload the new map it takes the factory map off and stores it in its memory, therefore once you put the new map on your car there isn't another copy on the handset only your origional map.
If you return your car to stock (put the factory map back on) the modified map goes back onto the handset BUT the handset is now "married" to your car so you cannot try the map on another car.
You can send the handset back to BF and pay for them to reset the unit but the process starts again - handset will only work on 1 car without being reset

This is to stop some1 buying a handset and sharing it with numerous other owners - BF would loose £1000s in lost sales

true true.... I no i'm not the smartest ( sorry sharpest) tool in the box.. And should of guessed BF would that be that switched on...

Still same you cant buy one and share it round your mates lol

I have a Focus ST with the Dreamscience unit which is a handheld that you plug in and download a new map, the DS has 5 different maps which you can change as much as you want (all different boost/ bhp/ torque).
The great thing with the DS is it has 5 lives which means when you sell your car you upload the factory map to the car and you can then sell the handset with all 5 maps so you get your money back
When the unit has been used on 5 different cars (not all at once) you then get it reset so it has another 5 lives. You can also get new maps uploaded to the handset for when you change the exhaust/ turbo/ etc
