Hi

I've got a 130 with climate control but have a problem.

The fans will turn on but it doesn't really seem like they're blowing very hard...they'll speed up and then slow down.

Also the temp dial seems to be doing nothing at all so I can't have cold air or hot air, just ambient air.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks :)

Does that mean it's not my compressor? Or could it still be a faulty thermostat or climate control unit if the pollen filter removal doesn't work?

Cheers

Does the outside temp read roughly what the man on the telly in the morning says?

As said, deffo remove or replace your pollen filter as this causes the blow from the vents to be reduced a lot if it is blocked.

Ok the temp is the same for the computer and the climate control.

Removed the pollen filter and loads of muck fell out, i'll replace that and the fans blow much better now.

Strangely the expansion tank was empty and it took about 1.5l of coolant to bring it up to max. After this the heater has started working but when the expansion tank is topped up to where it should be I get drips of water from behind the drivers side foglight so I don't know if I need to replace a hose or if it is the rad?

Also the aircon is not ice cold so I don't know if it needs a regas. I thought the climate control had to flash to let you know the refrigerant was low? Or is that not the case?

Thanks for all the help! :)

If your air-con is low on gas the temp should flash happened to me when i charged my car up the other month. Im not sure how much gas i put in as i retro-charged it off my gauges. I do know that the system does have an LP switch which is how it works out if there is enough gas for the system to run. If there isnt then it wont as the compressor will burn out.

The display flashes when the gas is almost all gone. If it's blowing cool air but not real ice cold then the gas is prob low but not really low.

i had this, the climatronic display will flash when the car first starts (all the possible display functions will flash)..this means it is low on gas....get it re-gased but if it the air is not ice cold when it is coming out, it could be to do with the HP sensor, i had to have mine changed under warrenty
