So I've had loads of problems with my drivers side window dropping down into the panel sometimes when you closed the door. It well and truly screwed itself up the other day when the wire came off the pulley! So a trip to the scrappy and I've picked up the mechanism from another ibiza and some nice new clips (that go on the runner, that connect to the glass clamps) off a cordoba. Shall see if it all fits nicely tomorrow!

Another question: I was having a read of the Haynes today and it mentions a 1.8 Glxi model.. I've never heard of this before.. Are they rare and what are they like? I would really like a 2 litre ibiza but at this age (18) I doubt I can afford the insurance! So I figured something a bit smaller could make a difference..

Basically, the problem with the window was this:

In the mechanism, you have the metal bars which go up, with the plastic runners attached to them. These plastic runners are attached to the metal window clamps on the bottom of the window. The plastic runner is meant to have clips on which secure to the window clamp but for some reason they decided to make it out of the worst plastic ever. Which snaps incredibly easy so all the securing clips snap off.

If I closed the door with the window own at all, it made the window clamp jump off the runner and fall to the bottom of the door panel. The problem is, I know that eventually they are just going to snap on my new mechanism!

Surculation: Five minute job for me and my Dad!

I've also had to steal a load of the little clip things off the Scrappy's Ibiza for the door card. As they are only glued on to the inside of the card and from having to take them on and off all th time to sort the window, most have fallen off!
