was out driving today enjoying my new CC remap when all of a sudden i hear a crack and then my clutch pedal goes staight to the floor, i pull over and see a black broken clip and a white clip on the floor and theres jus no resistence in my clutch pedal, had to get towed home by the AA who said my master cylinder has siezed. does anyone kno how much these cost to fit also i heard that the slave cylinder could also be the problem, how can i tell whether its the master or slave that needs changing. thanks

the broken clutch pedal clip is common. just get a new one fit it and try it first before replacing master cylinder. probably find a guide somewhere on here or vw vortex, would be all same set up near enough

yh thanks for that but i think it more than just the clip as you can see the rod on the master cyilnder is slightly bent and does not budge at all im jus hoping i dont need to change the slave aswell or that this has hapend because the slave has failed

have you had the clutch replaced at all before along with new slave ? well take it one step at a time then just go for the master and the clip first. bleed the system with a pressure bleeder. best way to do it.. it uses tyre pressure and a resevoir piped up to your brake fluid cap/resevoir and pushes the fluid through just a matter of opening the bleed nipple on top of the gearbox/slave cylinder and letting the fluid out untill there is no air.
