I change my coolant today on the leon as it was looking a bit sorry for itself and with winter coming cant go wrong.
It only took about 3L where I thought it was about 5l, maybe some stayed trapped in the system? Anyway am I correct in saying that the system is self bleeding? Elsawin says run the engine until the fan comes on and top up if required. No mention of taking hoses off or a bleed screw.
I let it idle for about 10mins and the fan never came on but the temp sat nicley at 90. I took it for a short drive and I was now getting hot air out the blower, I check again and the coolant took another 500ml to bring it back up to level.
Do I need to bleed it in any way or should I just keep an eye on the level for a while.
Cheers
