Black Painting Questions...

Hi guys,

got a question......new to getting an ibiza.....and ive been looking at a few pics....

I like the black ones and looking at one at present, did they all come with the plastic insierts in the bumpers front and back as i prefer them all colour coded...

if they all came like that how much are they to coluor code do you think? do the inserts just pop out???

For example....look at the back of this black car...

I would like mine if and when i bought one to look like this:

Anyone guide me at all?

yea.. they pop out.

think they are around £25 for new one from seat if you want to start afresh

no they dont come painted from seat, you can buy 2 different types the cupra grey knobbly one or lower spec black smooth ones.

looking at anything between £50-200quid to get em colour coded..depends how the fellas feeling really as they wont need much

could probably do it yourself for a tenner if your handy with a spray can

You'll need a lot of yellow paint if you want it to look like Becca's car

Seriously though look on Forge Motorsport website under Media / Mk3 FMIC if you want to know how to remove bumper. Could do it yourself or pay about £200 cash to a sprayer

I did mine myself while they were on the car pal! Just masked it off and sprayed them, havent come out too bad

So its the ibiza thats taken your eye now has it,i have a garage that will colour code them for you at cheepy cheep price as i cut him a deal for the staffs lads and i do some back hands for him if you know what i mean,,,,give me a bell if you need it and i can meet you and go and see what he will do for you. He has just colourcoded mine and he did a great job so if you want let me know and ill have a word hurry up and get somethin will ya

But doing paint for us sounds top stuff, just pop it off and have it done and pop it back on i suppose

The lower spec ones, take the paint much better, and take less work for the sprayer, as the cupra ones (graphite colour) need more prep work before painting.

might be worth buying the lower spec ones for £25 then and have those put in if they are better quality once painted..

anyone got the part numbers for them?

IIRC they are on there, if not, if you find out, let me know, and i will update the parts.

Here you go, looks like im missing the rear one in lower spec:

Bump strips
Grey:
Bump Strip front :Front - 6K0807225(H79Y) - £14.23 or G79Y if you have headlight washer.
Bump strip rear: Rear - 6K6807425G79Y - £17.46

Black: (better for colour coding)
Front: 6K0 807 225 D B41
Back:

Ring one of the dealers on the forum, and explain to them your a member.
Most of them have their numbers in their signature.
See if you can get the part number for the rear ones aswell.
