Seen these alloys & really like them. But they have 40mm ET.

I'm going for 17's on 205/40 tyres.

I was looking today at work & it mentions 35-38mm offset.

Think i might need spacers?

Also what tyres we favour?

I was thinking Toyo Proxes, but have no experience if there any good...

Cheers

have got proxes4s all way round they seem really good in dry really grip the road, decent ing the wet, road noise is hell alot better then kumhos what i had before,

What's the width of your new wheels? I should think you'll be fine, but it might be worth trying them first and seeing if anything fouls.
I have Toyo PX4's, been absolutely fine over past 1.5years, grip a lot better than the old tyres :)
