Bizarre Central Locking Issue

I have done all the usual search on here to try and find an answer but can't seem to find anything exactly the same as the issue I am having.

Car is a Leon FR TDi Mk1 - it will lock perfectly well and unlock fine if I put the key in the drivers door (only keyhole).

However have noticed an issue with both drivers and passenger doors not locking when I use the keyfob (standard from new key), sometimes it won't lock the drivers door, sometimes it won't lock the passenger, sometimes it won't unlock the drivers door and sometimes it won't unlock the passenger door......seems to very regular but intermitent as to which side plays up.

The worrying issue is, if you go round and check the doors and the drivers door has not locked and you open it the alarm doesn't go off but it does the passenger door hasn't locked and you open it...if you get what I mean!

Am currently looking like a grandad checking every door when I leave the car and sometimes doing it twice.

Noticed today that when I lock the car only the rear two indicators flash, side and front do nothing but when I unlock everything flashes.

Wanted to get some advice before I drop into the dealers on monday, and tell them the problem before they spend my money in 'investigation time'....had originally put it down to maybe when it was in for service it had been locked on the key rather than the fob and it was out of sync but its becoming more of an issue.

On a good note I have not returned to the car after checking the doors are locked to find it unlocking itself!!!

Any help would be much appreicated.

Thanks in advance
