Hello everyone

Just wanted to get abit of info if i may i am trying to find a cupra ibiza i am being a bit picky at the moment lol as i am trying to find a nice yellow one. The only ones i can find around my price range are are very close or over 100.000 miles . The engines in the cupra are mayed by VW if i am not mistaken and VW engine are normally bullet proof. Are there any issues with them once they hit this sort of milage or do you recon that it is safe to buy one with has done 100.000 and over.

thank you very much

Nick

I AM IN FRONT OF YOU
The first cupra i had done 102000 miles .Just made sure the cam belt and water pump had been done . I did a service on it new oil plugs and that. The only thing it needed with the 2 years of ownership was a set of front brake disks and pads and a new maf sensor. I had it remapped and it served me well.
when i traded it in it had got 125000 miles on the clock and it still in use now as i see it round every now and then.
I think as long as it has been looked after u should be fine.

check it has had the recalls bits done. if you have the reg number just call in or ring a seat dealer and they can look on the system. a part from that just check the normal things

The only recall I know of is the brake servo hose mentioned HERE. Don't think they did a recall for the clutch pedal.

personally i would stay away from this one after looking at the price there is no way it is a curpa r and with it having the wrong headlights would make me think twice there are alot more cupras out there. i was one of the lucky ones in finding a one woman owner from new, fully history in onvi yellow with little paint fade and paid £3900 18 months ago. just keep looking

that one that you have seen on pistonheads if it was a proper cupra r it would be mapped at 210 bhp, where as a normal cupra would be 200bhp on a stage 1 map. as i have said eariler stay clear of that motor
