Ok Picked up my Leon Cupra (180bhp) on Saturday and just having a bit of fun yesterday, there was a green Corsa in front of me blacked out windows and a fat exhaust, he drove like a bit of a twat so I tried to get in front of him. Got in front of him after a while but was impressed with how much poke this Corsa seemed to have don’t know what he had done to it. Thought I would have no probs getting passed him, slight problem was there was allot of traffic, and he didn’t seem to care for his life but I do and I like the car in its current shape as well. Also I have only just got it and don’t know how far to push it just yet so didnt push to hard.

Is there a reasonable priced mod that you can fit that’s gives it a little more power but doesn’t class a mod that would affect your insurance and warrantee.

For example a new dump valve??

you can get revo it just plugs into your ECU will give you roughly 220 bhp and can be done with dealer warranty, or theres JBS custom code or jabbasport. try a search for chipping all cost arround the 500 mark.

and all affect your insurance ... If you tell them:whistle:

However as its software based, its very very hard to tell it is installed unless you plug into the ecu (or drive it!) ... and how many insurance companies do that?

corsa may have a had a C20XE conversion, which is very very common nowadays, the corsa boys love it, basically an astra gsi or cavvy 2l 16v engine transplanted in, give its v similar performance to a cupra 180

If you have a remap....

You should tell your insurers, you could keep quiet and odds on they would never find out, you risk.....my old insurers charged 10% extra on my premium for the remap which at £60ish over 12months didn't really warrant not telling them.

Warranty even less likely to discover your remap unless they drive your car, some remaps are switchable so they are unleikely to be able to tell. Some dealers are remap friendly some get there knickers in a twist....if you get a problem with one dealer use another.

My advice would be find your local Revo dealer and get the FREE 5hr trial remap and try before you buy ;)
