Guys,

Possibly not the best place to get an impartial view of the above question (I suffer from SEAT syndrome myself) but here goes anyway:

I'm in Germany at the moment and I'm entitled to a tax free car. The cars are brand new and supplied through UK main dealers.

Option 1: Leon TDi FR 170bhp for £13495 on the road and they will buy it back for the same price, 1 year and 12000 miles later.

Option 2: Octavia VRS 2.0TFSi for £12495 and they'll buy it back for £12750 at 1 year and 12000 miles.

Option 3: Octavia VRS 2.0 TDi 170bhp for £13295 and they'll buy this one back for £13995 at 1 year/12k miles.

The buyback deals are optional. If you want to keep the car, you can. So if modding fever takes over I wouldn't be obliged to sell it. The good thing about buyback is that 3 years down the line, you're sitting with your 3rd brand new car and nothing to pay on it.

Which one would you go for?

that a bit of a dilemma m8 but i like the look of the leon tdi fr my self
but all of them are all good motors
but the leon i would go for

I was leaning toward the Leon myself, what with having a SEAT background and hearing good things about handling etc.

She who must be obeyed doesn't like the front end of the Leon. I'd have to buy continental headlamps for the Leon but the Octavia's headlamps are switchable.

Another option was a Focus ST3 at £13500 and it was in stock so no waiting but I've never really been a big Ford fan.

I like the look of any of your deals! Buying it back for more than you paid? There isn't going to be a loser in the bunch.
If you don't have to worry about fuel costs, I would choose the Octy VRS tfsi, or if fuel is a factor , the Leon.
I wish I could get deals like that!!

Jaysus, great deals you have there!

Checked out the Octavia VRS when it came out read all the motoring mag reviews - it's a quality motor no doubt about that, but so is the Leon. In fact personally I think the Leon is underrated. I had a good poke about the VRS and couldn't understand some of the comments about the so called superior quality inside compared to the Leon? There really is not much of a difference if you look closely.

However, if I was in your position I would be looking at what is better to drive and quite simply I think you would find that the Leon is more enjoyable. The Octavia has a huge boot so if that's your preference the Skoda is the one to buy.

Let's face it, I don't think you will be disappointed either way!
