Right i have bilstein coilovers fitted to my ibiza.

They "look" seized i have no C spanners to try and move the collars but i would sya looking at the threads i wouldn't have much look.

First of all where would i get a set od C Spanners to have a go.

If worse comes to worse how much would it cost to have them re-threaded. I was going to get some FK's but after having a flick through demon tweeks there is about a grands with of suspension on the car. It seems a shame to waste it.

I imagine any engineering company could put them on a lathe and have them machined am i correct?

They *might* clean up with a wire wheel brush applied to them, and oiling...
remachining them is not likely to be possible.

I used adjustable C-spanner on mine (Bilstein tight arses dont even supply you with one in the kit unlike KW)

Early units corroded very badly... been there done that myself. I am on my 2nd set (recently sold on) under warranty)

the trick is on the install to very much coat them in wax to prevent this happening. (Beaker... hope you are reading this m8)

If yoo far gone I think it may be a struggle to get them going again, but worth a go given the cost of them. Mine came off recently after 2.5 years of on car, and when wire brushed off they were ok functionally. Plenty of copperslip on the threads and wax'd over em had worked well.

I can see the appeal of stuff like KW's

so long as its waterproof with all the wet weather we seem to be having.
halfords do some spray on wax coating which works very well.. sticks like wotnot to a blanket... but scrubs off easy if you want to.
