Hi Guys,

I saw some rs4 or rs6 on a ibiza last night and they looked fantastic must of been at least 18".

Whats the maximum size you can have on a cupra tdi with brembo brakes?
Ive got 205 40 R17 at the moment, I mean could you have 225 30 R18?

Either way I wanna get some 225 eagle f1 tyres as I had them on my p1 and the grip they give is absolutely awesome.

Any information would be great as I don't understand what tyre/alloy sizes you can have and what differences it will make.

Cheers

Yeah don't really wanna get into the suspension upgrade thing mate just like to of stuck a set of rs4 on with low profile as they look wicked.
I thought the bigger the tyre the faster in theory you can go as your completing less revolutions then you would on a smaller tyre????? lol
cheers

know what you meen about upgrading your springs leaving mine well alone for now.
true you'll have slightly better top speed (whats the point in making it easier to loose your licence) but although the revolution circumferance is larger so covering more ground it also takes longer hence less acceleration weird huh?!!

big diameter wheels = higher top end and slower off the line

smaller diameter wheels = quicker off the line and slower top end

just think about a bicycle and the different sized gears when you were a kid

thanks davels so you like the coilovers :) i love the rs4 wheels but the bigger the wheels the higher the arches look without lowering it and pushes your insurance up!

beats me lol, doesn't bother me about the speed difference, I never gun it low down anyway, only eva gun it mid range once in a blue moon.
just wanted to know the maximum alloy size and tyre width I can have as ive heard the brembo brakes get in the way of half the alloys :(
